As a follow along project from Project Luminous, the task was to turn the once hanging pendant light into a freestanding table lamp using CNC routing and 3D FDM Printing
Stand Structure - CNC Routing
Base Junction - FDM Printing
Socket Junction - FDM Printing
Created in Rhino, the 3D renders can be seen above including the wood structure and the junctions.
The logistics of this project were more difficult than the first with the structure balance and actual engineering of the stand was very important for it being a successful design
